Workshop Preparation
Prepared Carefully Before Dispatch
Every urn is individually prepared, lined, wrapped, documented, and packed by hand in our Perth Hills workshop before leaving for its new home.
A cremation urn is not an ordinary parcel. It is a permanent memorial object, and we believe it should be treated with care from the moment it is completed.
Our preparation process is deliberately practical and quiet. Each urn is checked, fitted, lined, wrapped, documented, and packed so it can travel securely and arrive with the dignity expected of a handcrafted memorial piece.
Checked And Fitted By Hand
Before dispatch, each urn is checked for fit, alignment, finish, and presentation. These details matter because a memorial object should feel settled, secure, and properly made.
Small practical choices, such as careful internal fitting and felt lining, help reduce unwanted movement and sound once the urn has been filled.
Prepared With A Protective Liner
Each urn is designed to hold a protective liner. The liner helps keep the ashes contained and supported inside the urn, making the process calmer and more secure for the person handling the transfer.
This is one of the quiet details that may not be obvious from the outside, but it forms an important part of how the urn is prepared for long term memorial use.
Individually Documented
Each urn is accompanied by a signed certificate describing the timber species, finish, and completion details from our Maida Vale workshop.
Packed To Travel Safely
Once prepared, the urn is individually wrapped, cushioned, and packed by hand. Protective internal packaging is used to minimise movement during transport and help ensure the urn arrives safely and securely.
Care Does Not End At The Workbench
Memorial objects deserve careful handling from the moment they leave the workshop. Our preparation process is designed to help each urn arrive safely, securely, and ready for long term memorial use.
