A Cut Above Woodworking began as a small workshop making fine timber boxes, jewellery cases and detailed joinery pieces. Over time, that work developed into memorial urns, where accuracy, finish and reliability matter in a very personal way.

I understand that most families are not looking for something showy or complicated. They are looking for something well made, suitable for the home, and worthy of the person or pet being remembered.

Each urn is made from solid timber and prepared in my Maida Vale workshop. The focus is simple: a secure internal fit, careful joinery, a natural finish, and a finished piece that feels calm, permanent and respectful.

Our human memorial urns are made to house standard Australian cremation liners without requiring families to transfer ashes by hand.

Solid timber construction:
We use real timber, selected and finished for warmth, strength and natural character.

Your order is prepared by the maker, not passed through a warehouse or anonymous fulfilment system.
