The Monolith Series | Dispatching 001–010

The Workbench – April 2026
The workshop in Maida Vale has been at full capacity this week as we finalized the first official production run of the Monolith Series. These ten pieces (Serial Numbers MON-26-001 through 010) represent our commitment to architectural permanence and the heritage of the Perth Hills artisan tradition.
The Craftsmanship Each Monolith is constructed from select Western Australian Jarrah, contrasted with a Victorian Ash internal sleeve. To ensure these tributes remain scent-free and archival for life, we seal the interiors with traditional Shellac. The exterior is saturated with natural Organoil and burnished by hand with Carnauba—the world’s hardest botanical wax—to create a deep, tactile lustre that protects the timber without the cold, plastic feel of industrial lacquers.
The Provenance We believe that a final tribute should carry the weight of its history. Every Monolith in this series is individually serial-numbered and accompanied by a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, documenting its origin in our Maida Vale workshop.
Safe Passage With a national shortage of traditional packing materials, we’ve ensured these pieces are securely suspended in a custom shock-absorbing matrix for their journey interstate. This batch is currently en route to Melbourne, arriving just after the Easter break.
