This quality solid timber column urn for larger pets is designed in landscape style to sit flat when on display.  This is a substantial urn designed to take larger pets, typically up to 80kg in weight. The solid timber urn is screwed through the base using 4 typical cross headed screws.  Each piece of timber will have a unique colouring thanks to the well-defined grain of the selected timber.  Our urns are finished to a satin look achieved by sanding to an ultra-fine finish and burnishing with selected natural oils and waxes.  This urn has a black felt base to protect surfaces.  There is optional engraving available on this product for a small fixed fee.

The timber selection covers a range of colours from the chocolate brown of Walnut, the honey red and gold finish of Cherry through to the golden brown of Oak or WA Blackbutt. Each timber has a unique grain pattern and no two items will be the same. Our quality workmanship means that the carcass of the urn is made from a single piece of timber – with continuous grain patterns around the outside of the urn.  A quality feature we use as standard in your Australian made product.  Our workshop is here in the Perth hills of WA.

Please note that our urns are made from solid hardwood on the lid, carcass and base. We use solid timber for the base matched to the rest of the urn.  This ensures that seasonal wood movement is kept to a minimum and will not affect your urn.  This quality product will last a generation or more and only requires some hand waxing from time to time using regular household timber wax products. The timbers we use are typically medium density hardwoods.  These timbers are expected to last many years and will always look the part in your home. The timber has a good natural resistance to decay and will not warp or split unlike many foreign imported mdf veneered timber products seen on market sites. Do not pay for compressed and glued sawdust (medium density fibreboard) with a thin timber veneer to make it look authentic.
